Barbara A. (Russell) Kelly

Barbara Ann (Russell) Kelly, 60, of Elizabethtown, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD.  Born Tuesday, January 30, 1962, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Raymond D. Russell and the late Maryann (Ross) Russell.  She was married to George P. Kelly on June 9, 1990.  

Barbara worked at the following places during her life: Penn National Insurance, Rusty Nail, Mookies, TJ Rockwell’s, GlaxoSmithKline, Staff Management (Located within M&M Mars) and Hersheypark Place. Her job titles were quite extensive, ranging from working in insurance, to every position in the food service industry and eventually management. She enjoyed camping in their RV, going to the beach, cooking, and recently began cultivating house plants. Wearing her tie-dye clothing was a favorite thing of hers and she planned on making some for herself and others. She also liked to crochet and was working on a camouflage blanket.

In addition to her husband, George, of over 32 years, she is survived by her father, Raymond, of Harrisburg.  Also surviving are three children: Miranda (Kelly) Geyer, married to Tyler, of Elizabethtown, Kassondra Kelly, of Philadelphia, Anthony Kelly, of Elizabethtown; a grandson, Hudon Geyer, of Elizabethown; a sister, Diane Boyd, of Duncannon, as well as Barbara’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Behrendt.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA, 17022, with Pastor John Marcott officiating.  A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
